Seeing that my Birthday is coming up in May, the best season of the year, ahem, Spring! I have begun thinking about a few items that I would like to have (and you might too!).
A Sweet New Digital Camera
Probably the closest need I have on this list on the account that my current camera is an old Cannon Powershot I bought in 2001, and sadly its a pathetic 2 Megapixel, ya you could say it’s time for an upgrade.
Now I’m not particular to Pentax or red but I this camera did catch my eye. If your going to have a new spring toy it might as well be a little bling bling.
A Slick as Rick Kayak
Especially since I discovered Kayak Polo.
I have wanted a kayak since summer 2000. At the time I was learning with a buddy who taught me a few of the ropes including how to roll, which I tried a few times but have not yet mastered.
Later that summer I took a couple of ocean kayak classes out in Santa Cruz.
When I started working at a sporting goods store my one goal was to get a kayak, why it never happened is probably because I could not decide on whether to get a whitewater or ocean kayak. The lesson is to make a decision, especially while you have a good discount.
Comfy Flip Flops
Nothing says relaxing like a comfy pair of
flip flops, or thongs, as my parents call them.
I thought I might have a chance at actually getting these but then I saw my size was all sod out, dang! Why does that always happen?
Well I suppose my reefs can make it through one more year.
A High Performance

My wife will definitely not buy this for me, (she thinks i’ll break my neck). These things are so cool, watch this video where they break the Guiness World record.
Nothing but a good time, is all I could have on one of these things, I could take it to work.
Plush Sleeping Pad
I am planning on camping a lot this summer and as my aching bones are just getting older and older I require soft, warm and restful nights.
This sucker by Therm-a-Rest is a nice 3.5″ of comfort, lined with a washable cover, the memory foam is suppose to mold to your body. I love the straps on this thing! Why hasn’t that been around sooner? It’s such an obvious idea, love it!
